The whole classical and symphonic repertoire, opera, and contemporary music.

Do you travel outside the Netherlands?

Yes. Based in The Hague, available across Europe, and regularly in Italy.

What does an engagement cost?

It depends on the dates, the rehearsal schedule, travel and the instrument. Send the details and you will get a quote.

Do I need to own a harp to start lessons?

No, you don't need to buy a harp immediately. For beginners, renting a lever harp is an affordable and practical option. I can help guide you to reliable rental services in the Netherlands.

What is the best age for children to start?

Children can start playing lever harps from age 6 or 7. At this stage, lessons are focused on musical games, rhythm, and building a natural, tension-free relationship with the instrument.

I am an adult beginner. Is it too late for me?

Absolutely not! The harp is one of the most rewarding instruments for adult beginners. It produces a beautiful sound from the very first day, and we customize the music selection to fit your musical tastes.

Do you prepare students for conservatory auditions?

Yes, I offer specialized prep courses covering classical harp technique, sight-reading, music theory, and performance confidence for entrance exams.

What is your cancellation policy?

Lessons can be rescheduled if notice is given at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations are subject to the full lesson fee.

A modern three-movement work for harp and ensemble, born from the collaboration with the Conservatory of Palermo.

What music can we write today, knowing where we come from? I commissioned the Composition Department of the Conservatory of Palermo to create a work in three movements for harp and ensemble: one for each point of the Trinacria. Sikelia is where my research "L'eco dal popolo" arrives — the place where rediscovering the past becomes the creation of new music.

Sikelia is both a piece and a project, born in collaboration with the Palermo Conservatory. The initial idea was to write a work for harp capable of expressing Sicily's rich cultural variety, bringing to light some of the many colonisations that shaped its past. Before it became part of Italy, Sicily was a land where many peoples arrived by sea, leaving deep marks on its language, its customs and its traditions.

To reflect that diversity of roots, my composition teacher suggested involving three different composers, one for each movement: this way the piece can speak with several musical voices, mirroring the variety of cultures and peoples that have passed through the island.

Built around three iconic Sicilian landscapes. The Aeolian Islands, bound to wind and sea: the movement opens with references to Aeolus, the Greek god of the winds. The Greek temples, evoked by a quotation from the Seikilos epitaph — played in harmonics, it imitates the echo of a voice resounding in stone, before returning in full force like the massive columns of Magna Graecia. And finally Etna, which summons a primitive, eruptive Dionysian rite, a tribute to the volcano's power to transform.

He began his musical studies as a trumpeter, then trained in choral and orchestral conducting with Vincenzo Marino, Ennio Nicotra and Alberto Maniaci, and in composition with teachers in Italy and Spain. He is completing his degree in composition at the «A. Scarlatti» Conservatory in Palermo under Loris Capister; his works have been performed in Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. Deputy director of the Coro Kemonia in Palermo, he has also worked as a countertenor with several baroque ensembles. In «Cialoma [SHA-LO-MA]» he is the composer of Sikelia's first movement and the conductor of the third.

Master's degree in piano from the «Arcangelo Corelli» Conservatory in Messina, and close to completing his composition degree at the «Alessandro Scarlatti» Conservatory in Palermo, where he has begun a master's in choral conducting. Selected for the advanced composition course with Maestro Andrea Portera at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole (Florence). Alongside composing he performs as a pianist, both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles. In «Cialoma [SHA-LO-MA]» he is the composer of the third movement.
